Great Feis!! We wanted to Thank You for all you have done! This was our ‘first feis’ but not quite understanding how to sign up etc. we did not sign our daughters into that category and just signed them up in what we thought –(Beginners). Upon later figuring out that we could have signed them up for “first feis”-ers we were a little apprehensive on how it would go. You came over to Stage 4 -Sat. morning around 8:15 a.m. and gave them a little pep talk and practice run. What a wonderful and grand beginning for them!!!! They so loved (parents too) seeing you there and giving them encouragement. It truly was one of the highlights of a remarkable weekend!! Thanks again for all your encouragement, help and love of the dance!!!
I
want to pass along thanks for the text messaging of results. Not only were
the results quickly sent to the phones, this method allowed us the privacy
and leisure to check the results. We also had a reliable method for keeping
the results in order to report them on our school form (otherwise, I'm
usually looking for some scrap of paper in my purse). I hope all the feis
committees in the midwest follow your lead and begin offering this feature!
I thought you guys did a first class job running the Feis! The approx start times worked great, the results posted fast. Don't know why all Feisanna can't be run so well!! Looking forward to Oct 25th:) RC - Chicago
My husband wanted to extend thanks to your feis. He brought our daughter to her first Midwest feis and he told me it was very organized and that the volunteers were especially friendly. Please extend thanks to them--- I know the days can be long! JG - Arlington, VA

Hi, I just wanted to tell you the feis was great and to thank you for being so considerate to my mother and finding her a "top spot" to park herself and her walker. We both appreciated your kindness. Thanks again, GF TCRG - Chicago, IL
Thank you for avery pleasant day - not something I would usually say about a Feis day! I was impressed by the level of competence exhibited by your volunteers, and noticed many nice features to your organization. I especially liked the posted start times for each stage, and the fact that they were actually kept. It was great to have a place to sit down, although I agree that more hanging space is in order. I loved that the dancers had a real locker room and full-length mirrors for changing ! I think this was the shortest wait for score postings that we've ever experienced, as well. And I would agree that awarding ribbons through sixth place was wildly encouraging. Our Feis experiences have been limited to Chicago Feis and Autumn Feis in Tinley Park, but we're sure happy we tried MHOB. We can't wait for Halloween Feis (again, never thought I'd say that). Thank you to the feis committee, your school, and please thank all your volunteers for all the hard work this past weekend (and the weekends leading up to the feis). I had daughters competing on both days. Liked the text messaging of results (when I remembered to check my phone) and I know it's silly, but the fact that the printed/posted results were in a large font (for those of us over 45). Well done! Thanks again! CG - Oak Park Illinois

I just wanted to compliment the feis committee on their decision to hand out awards to all participants in the First Feis/Beginner/Advanced Beginner categories. As a volunteer at the table, handing awards out to the kids, it was incredibly exciting to watch. There were numerous girls who had received ribbons who had obviously never won an award previously. There were numerous voices shouting out "LOOK MOM!!!". We saw giant smiles and lots of hugs. The excitement and euphoria was contagious. Just another example of what we have come to expect from the compassionate and positive influences of the now Mullane, Healy, O'Brien school for Irish Dance. My daughter has been one of your dancers since she was 4. We don't know if she'll ever be a champion but we do know she has an incredible love for Irish Dancing and it is truly thanks to all of you. The pride she has in herself and the understanding of natural talent versus practice practice practice will carry her far in her future. Plus she still talks about Billy putting Colin in the garbage can. Those early years were VERY exciting too! KK - Chicago
It would be great if you reconsider running 3 dancers at a time and keep it to two. We were at Milwaukee Spring Feis the week before which kept it to two much noted among participants. We’ve started to really consider that as a criteria for which feises we want to take the time to attend. EL - Chicago
There were some great things about your feis and some unpleasant things. We love that you post a starting time frame. The dances ran quickly and results were fast. We were very disappointed that only one judge was used. We were looking forward to you feis because you were not using the same old MW judges. However, when only one judge sees the kids, it is counter productive. My daughter is OPW. That judge like a style and the same girls won over and over. They were good dancers, but different judges like different styles and it is better to rotate judges. We were on stage 4. The music balance was totally off. We could hear adjoining stages and barely hear our own. KT- Milwaukee
loved the schedule.......we got out fast!!! Would have liked an area for "camping", or get rid of those stands(we got plenty of spilled "stuff" on us from others going up and down)....we had to be on 3 different stages, so a "spot" to keep our stuff/wait etc would have been nice....and more dress hangers too. Good Morning: Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at the feis on Sunday. Well done! Everything ran very smoothly yesterday and my family and friends really enjoyed ourselves. One thing I'm hoping you can help me with, I went to your site looking for the overall results for PC8 and they are not available, the list only goes to PC7. Can you please add the PC8 information for overall to the site, or can you please just email me the list for that one competition? Thanks so much and congratulations on a very well run event! LM- Chicago
The feis was fine, except I think it makes more sense to have dancers dance 2 at a time. It its too hard for a judge to watch all 3, and sometimes there is not enough room on the stage for 3 dancers, especially when doing their reels. I would like to see on the results on the web for all places 1-6. Some only showed 1-5, when some dancers did actually receive a true 6th. I think only the dancers that actually do place are the ones whose numbers should appear on the results and receive awards. It is very misleading then to see the actual results on the web and their name is not up there, because they really did not receive 6th place. T he text messaging is a great idea. I think next year a bigger venue would also be beneficial. I think the Halloween feis is run much better. Thanks and we did have a great time and my daughter did dance well!
